Glorifying Him with your Gift

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10

Really think about what this means. We are called upon to serve others and the Lord at the same time.

Each of us were created for a purpose. Our purposes may vary between different people. It may also take a while for your purpose to be revealed unto you. But don't lose hope, for God's timing is far more impeccable compared to ours.

Another word for purpose is gift. Our gifts depend on our personality, and what kind of talents we posses. We just need to know how we can take our talents, and use them to glorify the Lord.

Just yesterday my friends and I were talking about what it means to glorify the Lord. As human beings, we tend to only do what we want; live the lives that we want. To me, glorifying the Lord means to live our lives for God. To spread his word and joy unto others. You can glorify the Lord in anything you do.

We are also called upon to serve others. I think that this small statement is what 1 Peter 4:10 is really trying to tell us. Jesus actually did just this. In John chapter 13, Jesus washed his disciples feet. Jesus says that we must always glorify God, and to serve others, but not to be served. We should want to do things for others, not because there may be a reward, but just out of the kindness in our hearts.

I have just recently decided to start a YouTube channel. I have wanted to do it for a long time. Then one day it hit me. This was my purpose; this was my gift. My channel is called Grace's World. It will have many things on there including Q & As, vlogs, fun challenges, and over all, things that I just like and enjoy. Every Sunday, I will also be uploading a video that has something to do with my Christianity. Some examples may be Bible studies, Christian book reviews, etc. I want to use this, to spread His almighty word to others. I truly do believe that this is what the Lord has called upon for me to do, along with this blog, and my Christian Instagram account (@undenyinggift).

It's okay if you are not sure what your purpose is yet. Just stay trusting to God, and it will one day come.

I hope that you have an amazing day, and God bless!
